Dave Saunders and Harry Skinner formed The Producers in 1990. They went on to be one the most popular blues outfit in the country at that time winning the 'Blues Band of the Year' award 4 times, releasing 7 CD albums one of which 'Ain't No Love in the World' was nominated for the 'Best Blues Album' award.
The new 2009 version of The Producers includes original frontman Harry Skinner and bass player Dave Saunders. New recruits Ray Drury on organ/piano and Biff Smith on Drums and percussion complete the lineup of this new and exciting project.
Already receiving rave reviews, The Producers are regaining the loyal following which made them so popular in their previous forms. New material has been written and incorporated into their set which contains many of the previously recorded tracks.
"Our last appearance at Evershot Village Hall was Nov 11th 2000. How do we know? When Dave Saunders was there recently he spotted a Producers poster from that very event preserved behind the Bar!" website:www.producersbluesband.co.uk

These dazzling 15 piece festival favourites take Balkan and Klezmer music as their starting point for a searing live musical journey that has captured audiences around the country. With massed ranks of fiddles, brass, vocals and much more besides, their blazing passion onstage creates a swirling spectacle of sensation and sound which in the last few years they have brought to London's Barbican, and festivals including Glastonbury, Sidmouth and, locally, the Larmer Tree. Don't miss!
Evershot is holding the Street Fairs again (after being (1) stormed out and (b) re-forming a new management group.)

Stallholders Book your space now
The Food Festival will be co-ordinated by the manager of The Acorn Inn, Jack Mackenzie and I will pass on your details to him. There is accommodation both in & outside of the Hall and electricity can be provided to a limited number of applicants. Approximately 16 places are available inside and approx.20/25 outside. Three have already been taken and several in the pipeline, so don't be too 'shy' in coming forward!
Other stall holders are welcome to apply, but I'm afraid all the plant stall places are taken, but we can offer plenty of opportunities for other interests.
The Acorn Inn will be hosting a live band and a hog-roast alongside all-day pub opening, to be followed in the evening by another live band and further hog-roasting.
Stompin' Dave's Electric Band, is a new project from Stompin' Dave. Known mainly for his eccentric banjo, acoustic guitar & fiddle playing whilst simultaneously singing & tap dancing, Stompin' Dave's excellent electric guitar playing, band leading, & song writing is highlighted in this new band. Previously known to all as Dr Stomp, Dave has 'stomped' his way through many a festival with his stage show bordering on mania and his stamina bordering on impossible! He now presents his electric Blues band still leading with his characteristic eccentricity and now with Boogie-woogie piano!
