We have now had time to put it all away for another year and thought I would just say fanks for playing or helping or refereeing pass it on to people in your teams cus we have made the staggering amount of just under £1400 pound which will hopefully keep the village hall and the cricket pavillion standing for another year. Sunday August 23rd 2009 EVERSHOT Cricket Ground

SHIP OF FOOLS 6.30pm FREE Performance



BAR, HOG ROAST & LIVE MUSIC FROM MIDDAY

 Everyone Welcome - Admission Free

 Ten teams of six people subjecting themselves to the bizarre, warped and twisted concoction of games and races that create the eccentricity of Evershot Wakky Races. The infamous Evershot Wakky Races typically involves gallons of water and a concoction of messy things, as well as an extraordinary array of “high tech” props. You can’t fail to have a fantastic fun-filled, action packed day and all are guaranteed to end up very wet, filthy dirty and exhausted!

Spectators are welcome, the more the merrier, admission is free, BAR, HOG ROAST and MUCH MORE throughout the day. Come and be entertained by the hilarious antics of the teams as they attempt to rise to the challenges of the Evershot Wakky Races.

These dazzling 15 piece festival favourites take Balkan and Klezmer music as their starting point for a searing live musical journey that has captured audiences around the country. With massed ranks of fiddles, brass, vocals and much more besides, their blazing passion onstage creates a swirling spectacle of sensation and sound which in the last few years they have brought to London's Barbican, and festivals including Glastonbury, Sidmouth and, locally, the Larmer Tree.
